2" WTC Project Page

This page is dedicated to the construction of my 2" diameter Water Tight Cylinder, originally designed for use with my 1/72 scale Revell Uboat Project.

The cylinders were purchased from Dave Welch, who supplies the clear cylinders, endcaps, full instructions and a CD full of images and recommended component vendors.

March 9th, 2005: The WTC components have been ordered from Big Dave, and are due to arrive in a couple of weeks. Once they arrive, I will post more information about this excellent little kit.

May 16th, 2005: The WTC arrived a while back, and I simply forgot to update this page. The kit contained the clear tubing, the endcaps, the air pump and the two bladders necessary for the ballast system. Since receiving the kit, I have also purchased the Trumpeter Seawolf kit, and will be R/Cing this model as well. This WTC is slated for use in both the Trumpeter Seawolf and the Revell Type VII.

October 13th, 2006: Wow.. You'd think that I'd forgotten about this project from how long its been! Exciting news (at least to me). I just purchased a fully completed WTC for the Trumpeter Seawolf (along with the model). The WTC was built by Helder Santiago, formerly of Ontario, now living in New York. The WTC features a beautiful piston styled ballast system, and I really can't wait to see it in person. I should see it in the next few weeks, I hope. Here are some photos of the WTC that Helder put up during its construction this past May.:
